Scholarship program

Fish Point Wildlife Association Inc. Conservation Scholarship

I. Value:
Minimum of $500.00 (not renewable)
II. Field of Study:
The recipient of this scholarship would be able to use it for studies in any conservation field.  At any accredited college, university, and community college.
III. Basis:
Leadership: Involvement in any conservation club, involvement in high school activities, ā€œCā€ average or better.
IV. Eligibility:
Any senior currently enrolled in High School in counties of Huron or Tuscola Michigan, or an immediate relative of any current member in good standing.
V. Application Deadline:
February 1st
VI. Winner:
Winner will be announced at the April meeting of the Fishpoint Wildlife Association.  The winner and their High School will also be notified by phone prior to the April meeting.
VII. Application Procedure:
Fill out the application form (available below) and email to Fishpoint Wildlife Association Scholarship committee at rhone223556@att.net  by the above deadline. If the applicant cannot email the application and/or have, other material they wish the committee to have please, contact the committee at the email address above.
VIII. Payment:
Upon presentation of tuition or book receipt or "first semester transcript".  If the wining applicant does not use the scholarship, it may go to a qualified alternate upon presentation of tuition or book receipt and first grade transcript.  The alternate will be selected and contacted by the Fish Point Wildlife Association Scholarship committee.

FPWA Conservation Scholarship

The future of conservation is in the hands of our youth.  By giving a scholarship to a young person that is interested in a career in one of the many fields that make-up a states Department of Natural Resources or with the US Fish and Wildlife Service.  The FPWA can help to ensure that in the future there are trained and qualified conservation personnel working to maintain our conservation heritage.

     Forest Fire Officer
     Park and Recreation Ranger
     Fisheries Biologist
     Forester
     Wildlife Biologist
